The Applicant has notified the Planning Inspectorate that their primary point of contact regarding the London Resort has changed. Details of this change can found on the project page of the National Infrastructure website.

The latest correspondence relating to applications for the award of costs will be published in due course.

4 May 2022

All applications for an award of costs received by the deadline of 26 April 2022 have now been published. All relevant correspondence can be found in the Costs Applications tab of the London Resort National Infrastructure webpage. Where clarification or further information is required, the Examining Authority (ExA) is writing to the parties to seek this. Where the validity and scope of an application for costs is clear, the ExA is writing to the parties to confirm this. ExA correspondence will be published over the coming days.

The ExA has decided to publish late costs submissions received from Weller's Law Group LLP on behalf of Dan Bramwell (1) (PDF, 4 MB) and MES Contractors Limited with JDP Property Services Limited (2)  (PDF, 2 MB) on the basis that these wholly relate to parties who under the cover of submissions by Mr Doug Hilton, had already made timely applications. The ExA is seeking to clarify who acts for the parties to these submissions.

The Planning Inspectorate has issued Section 51 advice (PDF, 251 KB) regarding cost applications in response to queries raised at the Arrangements Conference held on 29 March 2022.

The Applicant, London Resort Company Holdings, has withdrawn the London Resort application (PDF, 169 KB).

As a result of the Applicant’s decision to withdraw, the Preliminary Meeting was cancelled. The Examining Authority will not be conducting an Examination. For more information please see the notification from the Examining Authority (PDF, 131 KB).

Preliminary Meeting takes place

Instructions have been sent to those wishing to participate in the Preliminary Meeting (PM) to be held on Tuesday 29 March and Wednesday 30 March 2022 (if required). Those participating or observing the PM should read the Rule 6 letter (PDF, 586 KB) dated 14 February 2022 and all accompanying annexes.

The Examining Authority (ExA) has accepted an Additional Submission from Thurrock Council (PDF, 773 KB) on the basis that it relates to unforeseen matters that relate to the Preliminary Meeting.

The Examining Authority (ExA) has accepted an additional submission made on behalf of the Peninsula Management Group (PDF, 121 KB) on the basis that the matters that it raises respond to changed circumstances (the Applicant's request for a further extension of time in pre-examination) and an urgent need (that parties be made aware of matters for discussion, before the Preliminary Meeting). The matters raised in the published submission will be discussed at the Preliminary Meeting in Agenda Item 3.

A late submission for Procedural Decision A has been accepted at the discretion of the ExA from Buglife - The Invertebrate Conservation Trust (PDF, 131 KB).

The ExA has also published a note of an Unaccompanied Site Inspection (USI3) (PDF, 1 MB) undertaken on 17 and 18 March 2022

The additional period for making Relevant Representations has closed.

The Examining Authority (ExA) has published its Initial Assessment of Principal Issues (PDF, 139 KB). This is an initial high level assessment based on information available to the ExA at the time of writing and is not a comprehensive, exclusive, or detailed list. The ExA will have regard to all matters before it when it submits its Recommendation Report to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government after the Examination has concluded.

In its letter of 5th May (PDF, 957 KB) the ExA set out its decision that there will be a delay to the start of the Examination. The Applicant has now responded to the ExA's letter (PDF, 419 KB).

The ExA will decide the start date for the Examination in due course. Updates will be provided on this site.
