I wish to express my support for this project on the basis of 2 main points: 1) The UK theme park sector has struggled badly over the last 2 decades with many parks having closed and most others failing to manage significant investments. One of the reasons for this is the "red tape" preventing them from making the investments that they would want to. We are now well behind other European countries (for example Germany, Spain, Sweden, and even Poland) in terms of modern theme park offerings, and families and enthusiasts are beginning to need to travel to Europe just to experience a high quality modern theme park. 2) The benefits to the economy and local area greatly outweigh the environmental impact of building on a portion of the newly designated SSSI. Indeed the environmental plan will produce a net benefit to the habitats of the invertebrates that live on the peninsula, not to mention the increased interest that will be created in such habitats by the creation of walks through the marshes and ongoing monitoring etc.
