Swanscombe Marshes have recently been designated as a SSSI. This should be the highest form of protection for our wildlife sites but if this planning application for the theme park is allowed it will make every SSSI vulnerable. This is a beautiful area and a special type of habitat and it's value is in the natural capital, plants, insect and bird life. Marshes also play an important part in water attenuation preventing flooding elsewhere.
