In this time of collapsing ecosystems and dramatic reductions in all our wildlife species we should be looking to preserve as many of our existing wildlife habitats as possible. This development makes no sense if the government is seriously committed to put the health of the natural environment at the heart of it's planning. While the development of leisure facilities in of itself is welcome there must be many brownfield sites available that would welcome such investment. I was for 20 years a regular sailor on that stretch of the estuary although I no longer live locally. Politically and economically in the post Covid post EU free movement environment the combination of depopulation, online based shopping and greater leisure time due to changing work patterns means that demand for "wild" environments over manmade ones will grow and should be catered for. I would urge you not to allow this development to proceed.
