Dear Sir/ Madam I am registering my dismay at the continued destruction of vast swathes of the South East, and I suspect many areas of our once beautiful countryside. I am now []years old, and can see there will be nothing left for my great nephew, and any future generations, THIS MATTERS. PEOPLE HAVE GOT TO STOP ACTING GREEDILY, AND FILLING THEIR OWN POCKETS. 1. Swanscombe marshes have been rated as an site of Special Scientific interest by Natural England because it is so unique and supports among its vast biodiversity. Invertebrates that are of conservation concern. 15 bird species that are red listed 12 of Principle Importance, Nightingales and Black Red Starts among them. Reptiles, Bats, Water Voles and Otters. 2. There is now a huge interest in natural life and how our planet works. As a retired Primary School teacher I know that many of the younger generation want to build on this knowledge and understanding, and to improve this planet FOR THE FUTURE. 3. Theme parks are out of date, and not forward looking, they exist in the 20th century, not the 21st, and are of no use to the future and survival of the species that are trying to coexist on this planet. 4. Have we learned anything by our continued misuse of this planet? We are meant to be the most intelligent species, we are in fact quite clearly destroying this planet for everything that lives on it, including ourselves, and this has to stop NOW. I hope this does not reach deaf ears. Yours Sincerely Jane Kerridge
