  • Increase in traffic and subsequent congestion at the Asda Roundabout (Order Limit) traffic is HGV/LGV/courier/private/office staff/trailers etc from established business occupiers operating 24/7 through this order limit. Substantial effect to the Freight Traffic/network to key industry players. - LR estimate 25% of traffic for the development comes to and from Tilbury via the Asda Roundabout, are the means of mitigation supported by current and future business operators in the area? Uniserve were not notified until 24th December 2020 of such. - Unrealistic assumptions of impact and said time period; leisure schemes generate most trips out of traditional peak hours but the methodology carried out using traditional peak hours - Large proportion of freight traffic through the Asda Roundabout with upto an additional 2500 cars travelling through this junction twice a day there is a very real conflict of vehicles at large quantities - National policy statement for ports states that any development cant impede/impact the use or operation of a port as they are critical to the UK economy. This is evidently contrary to such policy. Similarly the freight and logistics industry should be protected as they have proven to be vital to the country's operation throughout Covid-19 (Uniserve is the Uk's largest privately owned logistics company). - Traffic impact has been accepted by LR as they have identified queuing at the AM peak across Thurrock Park way, Dock Road, St Andrews Road and surrounding routes across all assessment years including huge impacts in the PM peak in 2029 and beyond along St Andrews Road (impacts coupled with other planned developments) which indicate capacity issues - Signalised pedestrian crossing and part signalised roundabout only worsens the traffic on surrounding routes effecting freight traffic
