Concerns were expressed about the negative local impacts the proposal may present. The enquirer sought advice about who to address their concerns to.

Advice given

This proposal is at the pre-application stage whereby the applicant undertakes consultation, seeking views and comments from the local community and other statutory bodies. The applicant has a statutory duty to take into account the comments it receives therefore advised the enquirer to contact the applicant detailing their concerns. Additionally advised to contact the relevant local authority because they have a significant role within the process. At a later stage the IPC will invite local authorities to submit a Local Impact Report. Once the IPC has received the application and (if) it is accepted for examination, there will be further opportunity to submit your comments on the proposal to the IPC.
