I was born in Suffolk and have strong historical links with the county. I am deeply saddened to see the desecration of sites of natural beauty that are so rare in our county. The hinterland has virtually no areas that are not part of industrial farming. Tourists come to our county because it is offers these small sections of calm that are so vital to the health and well being of visitors and locals alike. Income from tourism will suffer if we continue to damage what we have been gifted. We have already suffered the destruction of part of our coastline with Sizewell A, B, and now the outdated plans for Sizewell C. I am not against this new technology, far from it. I am a green party voter and support Greenpeace however why have sizewell C and this destruction too? Distruction of green sites is madness there must be an alternative brownfield site. The images showing the planned area for development show how large the proposed site is to be and how ugly. I cannot image how awful this would be for those close who live near and the impact on the lives of all who live here is going to be enormous in terms of disruption and affects on mental and physical health.
