I am writing to object to the proposals of Scottish Power Renewables at Friston. The proposed scheme is unacceptable in this location. It is too large scale for the proposed site. Its effect on the local community will be dramatic. It will destroy an area of beautiful landscape. It will threaten the habitat of much wildlife, in an area (East Suffolk) which attracts wildlife research and visitors from around the world. It will destroy an area of ancient woodland. It will cause noise and light pollution, deleterious both to humans and wildlife. It will put too great a strain on the local road infrastructure. It will have a very negative effect on the area's main source of income, tourism. In short, the proposed scheme is inappropriate for this area.
