This area is far too small to have up to 7 energy projects occurring consecutively over a period of 12 to 15 years. Thorpeness cliffs are fragile and unstable so not a suitable site for landing cables. The small village of Friston will be dominated by the size of the planned complex, also the village is liable to flooding. There will be an enormous threat to wildlife and the Sandlings Heath, destruction of ancient woodland. Light pollution will mean the area no longer a wonderful place to stargaze. The local road network is not suitable for the high volume of traffic and increase in number of HGV, this will also lead to delays in emergency services which could endanger lives and hamper evacuation in event of a Nuclear incident. This proposal will have a negative impact on local tourism, this will lead to a loss of jobs and prosperity for the area.
