As a resident of Red Lodge I am opposed to the development because: 1. The size of the battery storage system, I have read that similar systems have had fires which give off toxic fumes and burn for days. This could cause heavy pollution within the village and make our homes unsafe. As I am partially disabled I am worried about how I would be informed if there was a fire and what plans would be in place to evacuate our homes. I understand that the final plans have not been produced yet, so how can they be deemed safe and how can you accept the planning without this information. 2. Currently the farmland is producing crops for local use in England, with the UK leaving the EU it is even more important that we produce our own crops and support our farming industry. 3. I am worried about the right of ways, footpaths and bridleways being closed, these ancient and surely these would need a closure order and what is the guarantee that these would ever be opened up again. This would impact the countryside for all residents, myself included. 4. So after 40 years when the scheme has ended, who will recycle the solar farm and be responsible for returning the land back to agricultural land, or will it be lost forever. Red Lodge and surrounding villages have had significant housing growth over the last 10 years and I wouldn't like to see this land used for housing or industry. 5. I understand from a recent public meeting at Red Lodge that Aecom are the company who are handling all the data regarding the scheme. After looking into Aecom, they have various lawsuits against them around the world from misrepresentation, most notably where Aecom had to pay $201 million to the Australian creditors for providing misleading and deceptive forecasts. This makes me anxious regarding how truthful their reports are. 6. The scheme industrialises the whole area surrounding Red Lodge and how can we be confident that this will not impinge on our house prices. Who is going to buy a house with this monstrosity surrounding the village. 7. I retired to the village for a quiet life, this will be lost and the countryside will be totally changed, annihilated.
