As a local resident I am concerned about: the enormous scale of the project the siting of substantial quantities of lithium batteries with associated fire risk the lack of provisioning of additional fire appliances and staff should a large long term lithium battery fire occur the loss of variated landscape and associated wildlife the loss of high quality agricultural land the scale of taxpayer subsidy that could be better spent securing traditional energy resource or mini nuclear the global pollution impact of producing solar panels and lithium batteries - including watercourse pollution with heavy metals and the use of children in mining cobalt the end of life pollution caused by largely un recyclable solar panels and lithium cells the potential localised weather effects including increased rainfall
