Clearly our country is under great pressure to increase the production of renewable energy. This I support. I cannot however believe that there do not exist viable and preferable alternatives to this scheme. Whilst it is currently not attracting as much media attention, the issue of food national food security. As a nation we cannot afford to lose prime agricultural land on this scale. This represents a wasteful and lazy approach to the planning of land usage.
