I object to the application for Sunnica Energy Farm. The farmland surrounding the villages where we live is arable land. Best put to use for agriculture. I accept that alternative and greener ways of generating electricity are needed and I am in support of this, however, feel the best way for this to be done would be to use roof space6, rather than using land that could be used for agriculture or further residential housing, which we are also in need of. The building of the energy farm will cause huge amounts of construction traffic for 2 years on our rural roads, causing further pollution, damage to the roads and delays. It will be the biggest solar farm in the UK and our small villages will be in the middle of this. I have concerns about the size and safety of the battery storage that will be used. The scheme will only run for 40 years and the land will then be a brownfield site.
