I have lived in Burwell, Cambridgeshire for 24 years. In that time there has been so much development for housing that there is a need for more sustainable green energy. There is also a case for increasing the use of land for growing and producing more crops to sustain the ever increasing population of East Anglia and the rest of the country. The war in Ukraine just highlights this growing need and makes a case for this being as important as solar energy. It would also benefit the environment and reduce carbon footprint. There is also the case for new builds to include solar panels as standard and better home improvement schemes to help home owners adapt their properties for solar power. Surely this would help preserve the land for many years and help protect wildlife species, some of which are very rare in this part of the country, and preserve our ecosystem.
