I wish to object to the Sunnica application to build a 2500 acre solar and battery plant around our villages for the following reasons: • Sunnica will be laying over 100 acres of concrete, over 30 miles of security fencing and 15 miles of cabling close to our homes, which will totally change and spoil the countryside for future generations and affect the value of our properties. • The panels and batteries are being imported from China, which means that this scheme cannot be regarded as green, as it creates an even larger carbon footprint. • The loss of greenfield land which is good quality farmland for growing crops, will also affect the habitats of numerous species of wildlife. • The scale of these plans being currently the largest in the world, and with Sunnica not having any experience of building on this scale, could prove hazardous for the local communities. • Finally, there is no real benefit locally as it is also being built by a Yorkshire based company.
