I'm for renewable energy but I feel there are better, less devastating ways it can be achieved. I am concerned about the dangers of the battery units and it being such a close proximity to homes, schools and businesses. I am concerned about the impact on wildlife; we are fortunate to have a diverse range and protected species. Land in this area is productive arable land and pastoral land supporting our local communities with food as well as farming and food processing / selling employment. I am concerned that the overall carbon emissions in the lifetime of this project (including the manufacturing of components and shipping, maintenance of the site and components) will not be offset by the solar energy captured compared to other electricity generating operations.
