There will be road closures which will force me through Mildenhall town centre at rush hour or to the fiveways roundabout both of which are always busy in the mornings. Mildenhall is already unprepared for the volume of traffic it currently has. Due to road closures, my daily commute will increase in mileage and take me twice as long. After construction there will be no escaping the industrialisation of the area. On the way to work, to the shops and on local walks. As a keen fisherman, I worry about the damage to our local waterways should they become contaminated from construction to decommissioning due to dust pollution and run off. My children attend The Pines Primary School in Red Lodge and I worry about the dangers to their health should the batteries ever catch fire.
