I have lived in this area all my life and to see the landscape changed forever will be very upsetting for me. The scale of this proposal is too large and spread out for the area and proximity to residential areas. This is a farming community and I feel the land is best used for crops and that solar panels should be situated on industrial buildings and houses, not fields. To declare this is poor quality farming land shows lack of Sunnica’s knowledge. Why would generations of farmers invest in an area that is of poor soil? The role of this land has worked for hundreds of years so to declare it unworthy of farming production seems insulting. We are an active family and our outdoor leisure activities will be disrupted by footpath closures during construction. After construction, the tracks we use will be fenced and feel very enclosed in some areas. We will effectively lose our access to the amazing green spaces around us. Safety issues are also a concern in regards to the increased numbers of HGVs on our village roads. Due to vehicle movements and installation there will be a huge amount of disruption when taking my children to school. My children attend The Pines Primary School in Red Lodge which is downwind and in very close proximity to the battery storage E18. I am concerned about the dangers to their health should the batteries ever catch fire. I wish to be kept up to date and informed at all stages, my email address is [Redacted]
