Lack of independent carbon foot print calculation to determine if this is in fact a sound course of action - we certainly need green energy, but not convinced this is actually a genuine effective solution that delivers the desired outcomes. Would entirely support a sound solution. Irreparable damage to local environment where this is being built made highly concerning given the scale of this being the largest in Europe. Better tech would require significantly less land to be utilised. Given this is a long term solution to be in place for decades, best in breed tech should be put in place to minimise environmental impact as well as installation costs. The threat and risk posed by the battery stores should they catch on fire (which from a quick Google search shows a worrying frequency) and the toxic fumes for days (given you can't put the fire out for , just have to let them burn out) being released upon residential areas. Location of such stores shouldn't be permitted so close to residents. No economic benefit to the local area in terms of long term jobs and it's also a Spanish company- why not a British supplier? We should be spending government money in UK companies. In short, the business case for this solution being selected comes across weak. Alternatives MUST be looked at e.g. solar panels on new build homes by default just being one off the top of my head...
