Future food production eliminated. Land permanently converted to contaminated industrial wasteland. Solar panels, storage batteries and associated infrastructure have an estimated service life limited to 20 years. Satisfactory recycling of these components currently impossible. This dictates a significant environmentally damaging landfill burden. As the fatal outcomes in aircraft industry losses already prove, battery fires and fumes and leakages from static, or transported, large dimension batteries are a significant hazard. Housing and schools are dangerously close to this proposed development.
