Although this development will not affect me directly as I live some distance from the proposed sites. I do have some serious concerns about such a development. 1. In the last 20 years this country has a lost an area the size of Cornwall to development; much of this has been on good agricultural land. Recent events have shown that we are already too reliant on imported food and this development just adds to the problem. This must also be added to the fact that the world population is now heading to 10 billion so nations that have a surplus now may not in future be able to export to those which are not self-sufficient. 2. I firmly believe that PV should only be installed on roofs or used to cover car parks. Our country is too crowded now to have the luxury of having single use projects like this. 3. During the construction phase it will be very disruptive for the locals due to the extra traffic generated and the aggravating noise from the weeks of pile drivers. 4. The development will reduce the land available for accessing the countryside which we all know is important for peoples mental health. In fact, it will destroy the countryside and turn it into an industrial landscape. 5. The UK's biodiversity has already suffered hugely from post war development and wildlife that needs open country will be killed off by the loss of habitat. 6. The construction phase will be very disruptive to nesting birds from all the disturbance and noise. 7. I note that this is a Spanish company; if they were doing this for environmental reasons, they would be building this in a sunny part of Spain or North Africa where such panels would be far more productive. Their only interest can be financial.
