I am registering an objection to the Sunnica plan to build a 2,500 acre solar plant around my locality and beyond. I'm sure we all agree that using sustainable energy is vital but this plan definitely does not provide a viable solution: * Firstly, the enormity of fire risks with 77 acres of battery energy, these in close vicinity to homes and schools. This is the largest in the world at the moment and something that Sunnica has no track record of building this size. Li-on BESS fires cannot be put out and responsible for poisonous gas emissions. The result of this devastation and loss of lives would be unimaginable and completely out of control. * This project will use; over 1m solar panels and from China; over 100 acres of concrete laid; security fencing with no local benefit whatsoever. * The loss of good agricultural land, with no guarantee of returning to it's former use would mean a loss of this land to what will be obvious development. * The destruction to our beautiful countryside and wildlife, loss of valuable miles of safe walking paths and fields vital to wellness and mental health particularly over this recent period of lockdowns is unthinkable. * No local benefit for employment and obvious negative effect on local housing. Thank you for considering my submission and so I say NO to Sunnica.
