I object to this plan for the following reasons 1. UK is not currently able to produce 100% of food requirements and the proposal intends to use valuable agricultural land. 2. Currently a natural habitat for many species. 3. Concerned that the proposed panels are being sourced in China, possibly using slave labour. 4. Large areas of concrete proposed 5. Extreme concerns about the carbon footprint. 6. Fire risks at the Battery Energy Storage compounds which would release poisonous gases in an area heavily populated not only with humans but a large % of the top racehorses in England. 7. 15 miles of cabling will reduce the efficiency of the solar produced. 8. Why can’t solar panels be prioritised for roofs where they don’t take up valuable agricultural land. 9. This would also result in a loss of jobs.
