I do not feel that the proposal has properly considered alternative sites in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk for solar generation and battery storage. I know that solar generation in the Cambridge area on rooftops has been restricted in recent years due to the capacity at the Burwell grid site. This could be rectified and solar panels placed where the community would welcome them before valuable farmland is lost. The battery storage could also be at point of use in this region rather than within rural areas, grouped together in large numbers. This strategy I feel is unsafe, if battery storage is deployed in an already industrial area: maintenance, containment of pollutants, replacement and attendance to disaster are all much easier than in a field 20miles from the emergency services. Mass grouping could also be a security risk.
