I am objecting to this application based on the long-term implications of it. ?As the manager of a local village preschool, I am hugely concerned about the effects of this application on our local biodiversity. We are building our children's understanding on how we can help to support our local wildlife, not take away from it even more so by putting down concrete and putting up fencing- it is not a natural environment; far from it, a potential huge hazard to our local wildlife. ?As well as the impact on our local biodiversity, the potential of poisonous gases being released if there were a fire should concern all. Our preschool would be within distance of the effects of this; putting our children at possible risk. Also, what are the contamination risks should there be a leak? ?When talking about reducing our carbon footprint by things such as growing our own, which is something we promote with our preschool children, taking away from our greenfield land will only lead to a bigger dependency on imports, building our carbon footprint.
