I am as much for renewable, green energy as the next person but the scale and locating of this project is monstrous. People who live in rural communities do so because they enjoy the landscape and this enjoyment for the residents of Isleham, Red Lodge, Chippenham, Freckenham and Worlington will be blighted by a sea of glass. The land earmarked is also prime farming land and would far better serve the population in its current usage. This sort of development would be far better suited to brownfield and under used industrial sites of which there are plenty. The developers of this proposed site are just in it for a quick profit, if permission is granted to build the site, the rights will be sold to the highest bidder. There is no interest or investment in the communities here.
