I am concerned about the size and scale of the proposed solar farm. It will inevitably alter the character of several small villages and their surroundings. It will take a large amount of agricultural land out of production and have an impact on wildlife. There are also concerns about disruption to the local area, given the considerable amount of cable needed to connect to the substation and potential transmission losses over such distance. I am not opposed to renewable energy as such, but I remain unconvinced that any potential benefits of this scheme outweigh the disadvantages.
