Objecting due to significant concerns about the impact of the proposed Sunnica solar and battery plant: Using extensive productive local farmland at precisely the time that the UK needs to become more self sufficient in food production, rather than relying on imports, such as wheat and vegetables, with huge costs to the environment in terms of carbon footprint. Other sites for solar panels are available, such as rooftops and lower yielding farmland. Destroying the natural environment for generations to come, loss of biodiversity, hedgerows and countryside as we know it. Outdoor space recognised to be vital for wellbeing. Potential for harm and danger to the local communities, such as fire and pollution, with Sunnica having an unproven track record in building on this scale.
