The wanton destruction of the countryside in favour of a "green initiative" cannot be permitted to proceed if that same proposal comes at the cost of natural habitats and ecosystems; Bird species, mammals, plants, fungi, trees, insects and the surrounding countryside will be lost forever. Lots of money now for figures who will fade into obscurity once the project is said and done will mean no accountability for what comes afterwards. Stop forsaking what is best in this country. Britain cannot be great without the great British countryside.
