I object to the Sunnica scheme for these reasons. Firstly it is an area I know extremely well as we spent the first 20 years of our married life living next door to Herringswell and although we now farm back at my family’s farm just south of Cambridge, I have many friends who still live and work in the proposed area for this scheme. Apart from the obvious reason why the landowners behind this scheme are pushing it - complete and utter greed on their part - I really cannot believe that this truly monstrous sized scheme is being considered by sensible and responsible people. I have a very strong moral objection that it is completely wrong not only to concrete over hundreds of acres of rural countryside, but to wantonly destroy acres of extremely fertile farmland that seriously mustn’t disappear from the face of this earth, just to line the pockets of a handful of already wealthy people.
