I wish to object to the Sunnica application to build a large solar farm near my home for the following reasons: - the scheme will cover an enormous amount of established farmland which we desperately need; - I do not accept or believe that the trade off against our wildlife, farming, countryside life experience, mental health is worth the reported benefits; - the impact on future generations being unable to enjoy the countryside in the way we do now is unacceptable; -in my experience, Sunnica’s engagement with the local community it’s has been poor; - we love in a village. We do not want to live in an industrial area. - there will be a negative impact on house prices and quality of life during and post construction - it is impossible for me to overstate the negative impact of this proposal, should it be allowed to continue, on the local area - and that is even more upsetting given the limited lifespan of the project. It is simply not worth it. - I am hugely concerned about the noise from the batteries and also the safety of these; - I believe there are alternatives. I am not against exploration of solar energy, at all. I am against developing solar farms in this way. Other countries have very successfully developed use of solar panels in vastly different ways with limited impact on the environment and rural areas. - there is no support for this scheme from our local MP.
