After seeing the excellent crops produced from soil types like the land that is proposed to be the solar park I feel that it would be wasted and we all benefit more from having it in an arable rotation providing us with grain and root crops as it is a struggle to find good growing land and there a strong market for this. I also think this isn’t what we need in the current climate as it doesn’t provide any local jobs at an already difficult time for many following the impacts of Brexit and COVID 19. There will be increased traffic commuting to and from the site and also through planning to import the panels from China will cause a significant number of heavy goods vehicles to be using the roads and villages which will congest traffic and make roads busier than they already currently are.
