I am objecting to the application in its proposed form. I am concerned about the amount of land it's going to take, from what was made clear to the public, it's agricultural-grade soil, and as the current war in Ukraine made clear, fertile, crop-bearing soil is of great value to the country, and essential for alleviating agricultural dependence on other states. I am also worried about the carbon footprint of the scheme, which not only hinders the pursuit of Carbon Zero goal, but potentially cancels itself out. From what I read about the technology, it is outdated, and burdened with significant risks (fires). Finally, it is only profitable for out-of-state entities (Spanish owners, Chinese manufacturers), does nothing for local economy.
