Crossness Nature Reserve is one of the last remaining areas of grazed marshland within the Greater London area. It is a wonderful site for rare and protected wildlife as well as a much needed green space for people, in an already built up area. Crossness NR is irreplaceable and as a Local Nature Reserve should be protected. The mitigation suggested by Cory on Norman Road Field is inadequate as this area is not grazing marsh, it is already valuable to wildlife as it is today. To the wildlife and people who visit Crossness Nature Reserve building over 11.7% would result in a net loss and create an oppressive feel to what is left.
