I am concerned about the impact of this project on Crossness Nature Reserve. I understand that rare insects and birds may well be affected. The UK is undergoing an unprecedented biodiversity crisis, with many even formerly abundant species in steep decline. These ecosystems are integral to the wider ecosystem within which we all survive. If we do not guard the nature that is essential for our own wellbeing we are on course for a severely degraded environment with grave consequences for our mental and physical health.
