The site of the proposed project is not appropriate for the development given its importance to wildlife and local people, as a rare urban marshland ecosystem. The nature reserve can't be moved but the proposed development can. If it went ahead it would have a devastating impact. It makes no sense to build something to mitigate CO2 by destroying a precious green space that is home to abundant as well as rare birds, plants and creatures. The land itself already captures carbon!
