I am opposed to this development because of the devastation to the habitats for rare animals and insects like water voles and shrill carder bee. Reed warblers have migrated from Africa to this site for many years. Thames water have invested a lot of time and money into the reserve which was mitigation for their sludge incinerator. It is not right that Cory use land that has already been used as mitigation or a field that is owned by Peabody. Once the land has been taken by this development, it will never return to its managed state. The noise, vibration and smells from riverside 1 and 2 are already disturbing people and nature here. There are nearby industrial sites that could be used instead for this unproven and potentially unsafe practice of burying liquid carbon under the sea. I am a member of the nature reserve and also run a river action group removing plastic waste from the Thames at Crossness. Nature depends on us to do the right thing. Please reject this application.
