Much of this land was designated as a nature reserve 30 years ago to mitigate against damage caused by Thames Water. It is completely nonsensical to destroy the local environment and a nature reserve that was created to mitigate environmental damage by one big company to mitigate environmental damage by another big company. This is just corporations playing with our local environment for their own financial gains and to claim green credentials. Really not acceptable. Cory should find another way to reduce and offset their carbon emissions. Carbon capture is a lazy solution and should be the very last option. There are many other avenues they could pursue. Please do better. This should not be allowed to go ahead.
