I strongly oppose 10% of a nature reserve and some of London's remaining wetlands being developed for a CCS project. The destruction of unique habitats, irreversible damage to wildlife and biodiversity in the name of a carbon capture project (which could be located anywhere with transport links) is outlandish. If this goes ahead it will show the world and residents that the government has no regard for sustainability, wildlife, endangered/rare species, open space and nature in a deprived area and the wishes of local residents. I visit the reserve to bird watch, see wildlife and to relax. Of the whole stretch of the Thames in Bexley this is the only unindustralised part and is key to local heritage and wildlife. I oppose this in the strongest terms.
