The land that is proposed to be built on is part of a thriving nature reserve that offers an invaluable habitat to many rare and threatened species of birds, bees and other insects. The site should therefore be protected rather than destroyed. The Cory plant has already significantly impacted the nature reserve by the extent of its works and you have the opportunity to reverse this devastation by turning down Cory's application to decimate the site further. Carbon capture schemes have a very low record of success and this would be a project more than likely to fail whilst destroying a natural carbon sink in the form of the reserve. In short, this is the kind of counterproductive project that exists as a form of greenwashing rather than contributing sound carbon neutrality.
