I am concerned at the sheer size of the proposed solar farms. Together the largest project in Europe? Is this the best use of agricultural land.?Why not use brownfield sites? How efficient will this solar energy be? Compare loss of food growing land. Won’t food production be a priority in future? Consider food production problems caused by war in Ukraine. I am really concerned at the industrialisation of acres of green space which will spoil the natural beauty of the area. The area in question is used for walking, cycling, horse riding etc. Green space is considered important for mental health wellbeing. Has the impact on mental health and general well being been adequately considered? The habitats of wildlife will be disturbed. On my bike rides I see deer, hares, owls etc on a regular basis. It saddens me to think how that will all be irretrievably lost. The proposed construction work will take years. The increase in traffic, noise and pollution will ruin the tranquility of this area which has been a well loved home for many years. I suspect that there is an attitude that this area of Lincolnshire is unremarkable. This is not the case. It is an area of beauty and tranquility which could be spoiled for ever. How safe is the project? Have the risks of fire and chemical pollution been adequately considered?
