  1. the most important issue is that you are only being asked to assess 25% of the proposal. Cottom is only one of four different neighbouring schemes. In order to give proper consideration it is really important that you are able to see the cumulative effect of the whole(combined) project. 2) the proposed area is a significantly useful area in terms of food production, and would be a national waste if it were to become unusable for this. True the land is not categorised as such but given climate change the clay soils are now much more useful and more productive than lighter soils because of their significant ablility to retain water. 3)The proposed are is designated as an Area of Great Landscape Value, which would be significantly impaired by this construction 4) the combined project can only have a significantly adverse effect on local wildlife. 5) there are far better more appropriate brownfield sites locally. Scampton RAF due to close this year would obviously be an excellent location as would the long closed Kirton in Lindsey RAF site. 6)the current proposed location requires 12 miles of cable to connect to the national grid which is at best extremely wasteful. 7) According to BBC (unverified by me) the national grid are not accepting anymore Solar farm links because of the limited value of Winter generation when obviously there is peak demand.
