All local projects should be examined together and not individually. Farmland should be retained for food production. Putting solar panels on farmland isn’t the best place for them, use brownfield sites. With the proposed solar panel size of 4.5m height, they will never blend in to the countryside. The views and walks will be severely affected. The BESS is a potential risk to residents. Island Green Power has not fully engaged with the people and have only provided the basic information that they are obliged too. Source of supply of solar panels and equipment needs to also be ethically sound and of a green nature.
