The overall Solar proposals are too vast for the area. We are continuing to import food rather than ensuring that we are self sufficient and the proposed area will result in a loss of agricultural land. I have solar panels on the roof of my home and they produce only a small percentage of the potential output due to our climate. Why are we not locating the panels on brownfield sites, or erecting them over car parks and on all new builds before taking over arable land?
