The demand for energy continues to increase and events of the past 12 months have illustrated ever more clearly the need for national energy security. In my opinion this project is another positive step toward the UK's environmental goals by generating electricity from sunlight and will make a positive contribution to our energy security. The project will use some farmland but there seems little national clarity on how to balance land use between the competing demands of agriculture, energy generation, preservation of ecosystems, rewilding and construction. I have seen little unbiased factual information about the impact this project will have on food production and plenty of well documented information about the advantages of solar power. I therefore support this proposal.
