I believe as this is one of four significant projects planned within a few miles of each other and as such it is only correct that they should be assessed together to fully understand the impact they will have on the area as a whole . The Cottam Solar Project is 3000 alone but when you include the other sites close by the cumulative negative effect is huge . Is it right to have this amount of farmland lost and given over to industrialisation . There will be an impact as food production land is lost, a negative impact on agricultural jobs and skills across the area . It would be impossible to blend this project into the landscape , it will be highly visible from many locations and dominate the landscape , not least from where we are located on the B1398 Lincoln Cliff Road which is an area designated of great landscape value . Overall the views , walks enjoyment of the countryside would be negatively effected. Has the effect on peoples mental health and wellbeing been taken into consideration ? Mine will certainly be effected . The associated BESS to be situated near Willingham by Stow will be one of the largest of its kind should this not be located close to a grid connection on a brownfield site , without the potential fire and chemical risk attached so close top a residential area ? of over 20km on 10 separate parcels of land will cause further ecological disruption, with civil works . Given this fact , it shows that the land has not been selected on suitability but purely on availability, has the scheme been planned properly and does it properly consider wildlife and the environment ? Also were other factors such as panel height and glare , power generation capabilities battery storage, and other associated factors accurately communicated or are these facts just coming to light now and has the developer engaged fully and openly ? Overall solar power`s role is limited as it provides power only intermittently and not at the times when you need it most , the proposed developments will be an inefficient use of land for the amount of power output produced . would it not be a better option to install solar panels on commercial buildings roofs where it will directly reduce bills .
