To whom it may concern, I am writing to notify you that I do not support the current solar project concerning Cottam power station. The current plans do not consider anyone in the path of the project. This project also has no direct benefit to anyone locally including myself who will be impacted by this project. I feel that property values in this projects’ path will also be negatively affected - Will this be compensated? And has this been at all considered in the planning? The current plans for this project will be a major disruption and inconvenience to not only myself but the local residents this project will affect. This project will also negatively affect the environment, nature and the wildlife along its’ path where food and crops should be grown or natural habitats are situated. All of the points listed above, I feel have not been taken into account and I myself, who will also be directly impacted by this project, also feel have not been taken into consideration at all. As a resident, I feel the company/companies involved in this project have no interest in what people feel or think about how this is going to affect the local residents or what will be compensated for the disruptions. I would like to know why the solar panels have to be placed and the power lines to run on the opposite side to the Cottam power station plant? As they will have to cross over the river Trent? Why can’t the panels and power lines be ran on the opposite side of the river, closer to Cottam? Surely this will be a simpler and more cost-effective engineering solution? I would also like to ask why the panels cannot be located on industrial sites or situated on top of industrial and commercial buildings? This also may be worth considering as there are plenty of commercial buildings without panels in the area? Hopefully the companies and persons involved will reconsider and take this project back to the drawing board where people, property and environment will be taken into consideration. I look forward to your correspondence, Kindest regards
