The Cottam proposal is Just 1 of 4 Solar, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) within a few miles of each other. Together this would be the largest solar farm complex in Europe and would amount to 10,000 acres in total as such I wish that these 4 proposals be treated as one due to the significant impact it will have on where I live. Not only this but the proposed sites will take away agricultural food-growing land which considering we already have a food shortage seems absurd to even be considering food-growing sites when there are brown field sites available. The height of the solar panels will also spoil the views of the countryside which is the main reason I purchased my house for the views. The 4 year construction period would significantly impact the mental health of residents who moved to the area for peace and quiet and to enjoy everything the countryside has to offer.
