My concern is Food Security. Taking thousands of hectares out of food production is unwise. We understand that 500.000 immigrants entered the UK last year, there is an unabated global increase in the world population, houses are being built on agricultural land, e.g. at Saxilby. The place for solar panels is on the roofs of buildings, all new houses should have them, they should go on all buildings wherever the roof slope is to south. There is already food poverty in the UK, taking land out of food production will make it worse. Also, we are a long way from Cottam Power Station. We do need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels but this project is wanting to put the panels in the wrong place. This is a small and very overcrowded island. If Mr Putin continues to want to recover his 'motherland' that further creates an argument for protecting home food production. Future generations will not thank us for making decisions that create food shortages.
